When I was around four or five, my parents took me to an animal fair and expo. My mother asked me to pet an alpaca so she could take a photo. Once I touched it, I was fascinated by its softness and I liked running my fingers through its fur. That year, we went back three times so I could visit the alpacas. Just before my college graduation, I was invited to work with textiles. When I visited the factory and touched the fibers, I was transported to that moment at the fair. I love the infinite possibilities of this art, and playing with colors, textures and designs. I'm passionate about alpaca; the fleece is ideal for autumn and is very warm for winter.
