I'm kind of weird about color so the fact that the the color differs slightly is the only reason I have for 4 stars opposed to 5. To me, even in sunlight the color is more mulberry(purple-toned) than say burgundy or maroon. While it's a very pretty, rich color not what I wanted. These sheets wash well and I find they are soft and lightweight, which is great on both counts as I hate stiff fabrics in bedding and I am what you would call a "hot sleeper". The pockets are deep, (a must for our taller sized matress) no pulling up even with both of us being prone to switching positions overnight. Also so far our rambunctious cat hasn't manged to put any tears or snags in these sheets when he's got the late night zoomies (the cat people will understand). All in all a good lightning deal buy, but only wish the color was more red-toned than purple.
